Terms of Service and Code of Conduct

Effective Date: 6 November 2025

Applies to: All services operated by Mårdhund unless a separate terms document is provided for that specific product. If such a document exists, it takes precedence over this one.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any service, platform, website, or system operated by Mårdhund ("we", "our", or "us"), you ("you", "your", or "user") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

Use of our services by anyone under the age of 13 is prohibited. If you are 13 through 17, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Code of Conduct

• Violate any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
• Engage in harassment, threats, or abuse against any individual or group.
• Upload or transmit hate speech or discriminatory content targeting race, gender, sexuality, disability, nationality, or other inherent traits.
• Spam, flood, or disrupt services, APIs, or infrastructure.
• Misrepresent your identity or use false credentials.
• Access or use another person's account or data without authorization.
• Attempt interfere with, or damage our systems or services.

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to any service, with or without notice, for violations of this policy or any use we determine to be abusive, harmful, or malicious.

3. Account Registration and Use

Some services may require account creation. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. We are not liable for unauthorized access caused by your failure to protect them.

Accounts may be removed for:

• Inactivity (defined as no logins or use for more than 6 months).
• Domain or subdomain squatting (e.g., registering with no intent to use).
• Clear abuse, harassment, or bad-faith behavior.

4. Fair Use and Abuse Prevention

We welcome individuals and organizations of all sizes and backgrounds. However, we do not tolerate:

• Abuse of free services to host illegal, harmful, or exploitative content.
• Use of our platform to harass others or to enable harassment.
• Evasion of bans, restrictions, or manual review processes.

Some products may require identity verification to prevent fraud or misuse. This may be automatic (via trusted third parties) or manual (human-reviewed).

5. Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mårdhund and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill.
• Any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.
• Any bugs, downtime, unauthorized access, or user content.
• Any damages resulting from reliance on or use of our services.

All services are provided “as is” and “as available” with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Content Responsibility (Section 230 Notice)

Under 47 U.S.C. § 230, Mårdhund is not responsible for user-generated content. Users are solely liable for what they post or upload on any platform we operate.

We do not pre-screen or approve content. If something violates our rules or laws, you may report it and we'll investigate accordingly.

7. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately when posted unless stated otherwise. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Material changes will be clearly marked with a new “Effective Date.”

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Georgia.

9. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
